Charity Spotlight: More than Sport - with local Chicago opportunity to do more!

Excited to feature More Than Sport as a Charity Spotlight.  They have partnered with a local Chicago race and are promoting all of us to DoMore.  This write up was provided by local MoreThanSport Ambassador, Tony Demakis.
**As usual, not sponsored**

As athletes we sometimes go through life with blinders on. Whether you are a weekend warriors, elite age grouper, or professional we all have a passion and a commitment to working hard and competing. Imagine if you could transform that energy into making a positive change in the world by helping others in need, well now there is...

More than Sport is an organization created to do just that, by creating a platform for everyone to give people resources, and assistance in finding ways to contribute and be more. We believe that there is more to life than just competing for that next trophy or PR time. More than Sport makes it possible for you to work with some of your favorite pro athletes in projects that they are passionate about, or you can create your own projects.

We have recently launched a new website complete with a fundraising platform making it easier than ever to help your favorite causes. However it’s not just about raising money. We are constantly trying to bring hands on, grass roots movements to races and events around the country. Our efforts have included, raising money for hospitals, Home Builds in Mexico, Water Purification Systems in Asia, working to put an end to Human Trafficking and many others. There is no end to the ways that as a team we can help improve the lives of others.

Our next event will take place during the Lake Zurich Area Triathlon from July 11th - July 13th at the packet pick up locations and during the race, where we will be collecting non-perishable foods, school supplies, and gently worn clothes and shoes for the Emmaus House of Hospitality in Lake Zurich.

Please consider helping us make a difference as we strive to inspire, transform and redeem the world that we work, live and play in. Help us DO MORE.
